Vedavyasa Institute of Technology is so named after Bhagawan Vedavyasa who was a great sage and teacher of several Gurus including Dhathathreya –the Guru of Gurus. It was Vedavyasa who edited the Vedas, 18 Puruanas, Mahabharata and Srimad Bhagavat Gita. Well, in line with Vedavyasa’s teaching, our teachers are oriented towards student development and their devotion to work will help the students in enhancing their knowledge bank and become good professionals and good citizens of India.

About the DIRECTOR:
Dr.Balasubramanian attained his Graduation in Metallurgical Engineering from Indian Institute of Metals, Kolkatta; Post Graduation with Honours & University Gold Medal in Physical Metallurgy from University of Roorkee, Roorkee (Currently IIT, Roorkee) and PhD in Metallurgical Engineering from University of Kerala, Trivandrum. After a short spell of 6 months at IIT, Madras, Dr.Balasubramanian spent a very long spell of 35 years as Scientist at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, ISRO, Trivandrum. He was responsible for Research & Development of ultra high specific strength aluminium alloys for satellite launch vehicles and satellites and was awarded the prestigious National Metallurgist Day Award by the Ministry of Steel & Mines, Govt. of India in the year 1985.
Dr.Balasubramanian has 58 technical publications to his credit, 17 of them in leading International Journals like Materials Science & Engineering, UK; Journal of Materials Science, UK; Composite Science & Engineering, UK; Journal of Joining Sciences, USA; etc. Since 2002, Dr.Balasubramanian is working as Principal and is devoted to student development in engineering colleges and is keenly interested in educational reforms for betterment. He is currently the Director of Vedavyasa Institute of Technology.
