Kerala and neighboring states have witnessed a massive quantitative expansion in the technical education. Unless this is matched with quality improvement, the technical manpower developed will not succeed in the present competitive environment. Side by side it is necessary to develop the personal caliber of the engineering students.

Vedavyasa Institute of Technology believes in creating altogether a new cadre of professionals with a very high level of competence and deep sense of social commitment.

Over the years we have compromised a great deal with quality and relaxed the norms of self-discipline. Thus ethical norms have been abandoned in almost all professions. Gandhiji said “Unless the development of mind and body goes hand in hand with a corresponding awakening of the soul, the former alone would prove to be poor lopsided affair. Swami Vivekananda had proclaimed we must have life building, man making, and character building education, thus to maintain sustain and develop a healthy mind in a healthy body. The greatest challenge the world is facing today is the crisis of confidence and character, mental and moral decay and break down of the traditional discipline. The glory of education is the discovery of soul. If the education has to serve the humanity, it must teach and train us to respect each other (Universal Brotherhood), love each other(Universal love) and practice compassion and to uphold the dignity of all lives.

Tomorrow is not what happens to us, but tomorrow is what we make of it. We do not want to produce ordinary engineers at VVIT, but to shape engineers with a mission for the future.
