The Quality Policy of the department is to be, “An Effective Source of Technical Manpower for the
Nation and to contribute to the growth of the Nation by constantly upgrading the quality of Technical
Education by meeting the challenging needs of the twenty first century and effectively co-ordinating
the activities of the Staff, Students and the Industry while keeping up the ethical and moral standards

Laboratories & facilities
The Department has the following well - equipped laboratories. The various laboratories

ELECTRICAL WORKSHOP
Familiarize with the electrical wiring, earth resistance, working of fan, working of house
hold lamp and stair case switching
MEASUREMENTS AND INSTRUMENTATIONLAB
To study the different types of bridges- wheat stone’s bridge, Kelvin’s double bridge .To calibrate single phase and three phase energy meter by direct and phantom loading , B-H curves, to extend the range of meters
ELECTRICAL MACHINERY LAB
Students can understand the special features of AC and DC machines. Efficiency and, torque slip characteristics of different machines and the important of starter, load test on different machines
ELECTRONICS LAB
Familiarize with the electronic circuits and equipment, and to make clipping and clamping circuits for different voltage level and for different wave forms
SIMULATION LAB
To design and analyze electrical and electronic circuits with system software.
