General Discipline & Conduct and Behavior

These rules and regulation are framed for the benefit of students to prepare them for a successful career and for the smooth functioning of the institution.

  • The Principal will be the final authority in all academic matters pertaining to the college
  • The Principal reserves the right to refuse admission to any student found detrimental to the smooth functioning of the college without assigning any reason.
  • Admission under management quota will be made as per the rules and regulation governing self financing provisional engineering colleges of Kerala at the time of admission.
  • Admission for any course will be confirmed only after the interview with the principal.
  • Admission process will be completed if all the requisite documents are submitted, fees remitted and interview with the Principal is over
  • All certificates submitted to the college will not be released before the completion of the course
  • Students found to have gained by frequent means such as producing fake records,false certificates or by any other misrepresentation will be summarily dismissed.
  • For B.TEch courses, all fee stipulated under each branch should be paid in time .Fee remittance without fine will be due on the date of admission in the case of first year and 15th of may in case of all others. Fee remittance after due date will lead to a fine of Rs 100 per day. After one month of due date defaulters will be dis enrolled .
  • For P.G. Course fee remittance for first sem is at the time of admission, for the second and fourth sem, fee to be remitted on or before 15th December and for the 3rd sem,fee to be remitted before 15th May every year. Fee remittance after due date will lead to a fine of Rs 100 per day. After one month of due date defaulters will be dis enrolled .
  • Any student wishing to discontinue after the dates specified by the Government due to any reason will have to pay the entire course fee before the certificates will be released.
  • The management shall have the right to recover the dues if any from the student of the guardian .
  • For any payment made to the college a printed receipt signed by the official in the college and dully imprinted with the college seal is to be obtained. Otherwise college will not be responsible for the payment made.
  • If the officials entrusted with fee collection are absent or refuse to collect a written complaint should be made to the principal to make alternative arrangement to be made then and there for the same.
  • If the behaviour of a student is found to be detrimental to the smooth functioning of the college he will be dismissed and the fees paid by him will be deemed forfeited and he/she will have to remit the entire course fee before the certificates be released.
  • If any student indulges in propaganda to spoil the reputation of the institution disciplinary action will be taken against him and a fine not less than Rs.10,000/- will be imposed on him.
  • Students who have secured the required percentage of attendance and whose progress of study is found satisfactory will only be allowed for University examination as per University norms.
  • It is the responsibility of the student to submit duly filled in application all requisite document, fees etc to the institution in time for obtaining matriculation and recognition certificate from the university before remitting fee for the combined first and second semester examination.
  • Leave applications in writing counter signed by the parent/Local guardian who have signed at the time of admission in the application form should be routed through the advisor concerned. Leave should be availed only with prior approval. In case of medical leave the application must be accompanied with a certificate issued by a medical officer. A fitness certificate also to be produced on rejoining. If a student absent himself for more than 10 consecutive working days without leave of absence granted in writing his/her name would be removed from the rolls and if he/she decides to rejoin he/she shall remit the readmission fee of Rs 2000/-provided they have the required percentage of attendance necessary for appearing for University examination .Student rejoin the institution after leave of absence must get permission from advisor ,HOD, Principal in writing after producing all supporting documents explaining the reasons for absence before entering the class.
  • Students shall not engage in any activities like strike, dharana, processions, politically motivated meetings and also shall not incite or abduct or induce any other students indulge in such activities. If any complaint is received against any student or any other information is received regarding such activities the management shall have the right to suspend the student from the college forth with after giving notice and hearing the student's version the management shall have the right to dismiss him/her from the college if found guilty. If any class is lost due to the above incidence class will be arranged on sunday to compensate the same and Rs.500/- per student will be collected to make payment for the running the classes on Sundays.
  • If any organization or union is formed by student the principal and vice principal shall be its exofficio president and vice-president respectively.
  • Students will have to bear all expenses for study tour and excursions and they have to take prior permission from the principal for the same.
  • Regular monthly test and reports will be sent to parents.
  • If a student absents himself from the monthly tests, his marks will be entered as zero.  As per University norms Internal marks will be awarded mainly on the basis of students monthly examinations / assignments /attendance. Appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against the absentees of exam. If a student fails in more than 3 subjects in monthly test he has to bring his parent to the Principal and HOD within 3 days after receiving the marklist  and give a solemn assurance that he will improve his studies.
  • Students should follow the allotted seat principle in the classroom ,workshops and labs.If any damage is done to the allotted seat he/she will be held responsible and damages will be recovered from him/her..For any damage or mischief done to classroom or any apparatus/machinery/equipment a collective fine will be levied if the real culprit is not detected.
  • If any student is found disturbing the smooth functioning of the college severe disciplinary action will be taken and a fine of not less than Rs.10,000/- will be imposed.
  • Students are not allowed to loiter about in college premises .
  • Smoking and consumption of liquour and intoxicating drugs are strictly prohibited in college premises.
  • Students will be allowed to borrow one book from the college library at a time and the same to be retuned within 7 days. Late submission of books will entitle a fine of Rs 10 per day.
  • Library book must be returned before starting the vacation/study leave etc.
  • Caution deposit collected at the time of admission will be returned after the completion of the course after deducting the damages and depreciation on production of no due certificate from the department. If the damage exceeds the deposit, another fresh security deposit as decided by the principal
  • College will not be responsible for thefts,loss of personnel assets etc
  • Students should bring the items required for their studies only.
  • Mobile phone,Taperecorders,Camera etc are prohibited within the premises.If any of these items are brought to the campus,they will be confiscated and a fine of not less than Rs5000/- will be collected from them.
  • Students are expected to keep up to date records and submit it as and when required. Defaulters will be levied fine of Rs1000 will be imposed Students will not be allowed to sit in the class until the records are completed and remit the fine.
  • Note : All the fines so collected from the defaulters will be kept with the Principal for the use of the student activities such as college day celebrations, seminars ,college magazine release etc and the Management will not account such fine amount.
  • The Principal reserve the right to alter the time table as required from time to time. The timetable thus altered shall be binding on every student
  • Strict discipline has to be maintained in the class rooms/workshops,lab and campus at large.
  • Uniform is compulsory inside the campus.Color of the uniform will be decided by the Principal/Management. Black shoes, black socks,  full sleeves shirt tucked in (for Boys) and Churidhar (for Girls). The uniform will be the same for the entire course. In the workshop students should wear overalls for the sake of uniformity. The Institution will decide cloth and tailor for the same.
  • Class rooms should not be used as a dining hall. They should use the canteen for the purpose.Non-vegetarian food is not allowed in the campus.
  • Students should always carry their ID cards. Person without id card will be not allowed inside the campus.
  • Only those who have the travel facility will be allowed the use of college bus. Defaulters will be fined Rs100/ per journey.
  • Strict discipline has to be maintained while travelling in the college bus. Front rows should be given for girls. Boys and girls will be segregated. Students travelling in the college bus should not directly deal with the public or any person for any reason. They should keep silence in case any dispute arises with the public.
  • If any damage is caused to the seats or the fittings of the bus, a common fine will be imposed on the travelling students according to the damage.
  • It is the responsibility of the student to reach bus stop in time. Bus will start at the right time and the college will not be responsible for late arrival of the students at the bus stop.
  • Hostelers are bound to follow hostel rules which are signed by the student and parent at the time of admission in the hostel..
  • It is the responsibility of the student to keep the classrooms,labs etc spic and span .They should clean the area where they have worked as soon as they complete the practical.Tools, equipments etc taken for practical work should be returned to the lab assistant before they leave the practical hall.
  • If any student boycott the class they will not be allowed for the next class without the permission of the Principal.Students should not leave the class without the written permission of the principal .If a student disobey the rule he will not be allowed to sit in the class without the written personal apology of the parent to the Principal.
  • Students and non students are not allowed to exhibits play cards,hoardings or distribute pamphlets ,notices etc of any kind in the institution.
  • If a students is questioned/warned/punished for an offence and if such a student brings undesirable characters such as hoodlums to the instituion, or threatens the Principal or management or staff using abusive language over the telephone or distributes pamphlets or pastes objectionable stickers or posters on the college premises as well as public places, the management will consider it as a serious offence and initiate legal action against such offenders.They will be shown no mercy and a deformation case will be filed against them. Action might include expulsion from the college.
  • Cutting classes or leaving the class without the permission before the proper time will be viewed seriously and a fine of Rs.200 will be imposed and he/she will be marked absent for the whole day.
  • Coming to college in shabby uniform will attract a fine of Rs 100 .Fine for one day absence without permission will be Rs 100./-Late comers will be fined Rs.50/-
  • Students who launch agitation leading to disruption of class ,or boycott the class would be marked absent for that day. The syllabus scheduled to complete on that day will be compensated on the next Sunday. Besides in such a situation management might enhance punishment in order to discourage such disruptive tendencies and stop recurrence of such activities in future.
  • Parents and students are not supposed to meet Principal without prior permission.
  • Mass representation from parents,students or members of the public without address will not be entertained under any circumstance. Only representation from individual will be accepted, provided with proper address and signature of the applicant.
  • Students should refrain from participation in any political party activities or communal politics inside the campus.
