VVIT placement statistics stand ample testimony to its objective of placing all eligible & interested candidates according to the students’ career choices. Even during challenging times of economic recession, on account of the corporate trust reposed on SJCET, we were able to harness significantly good careers for our students

The VVIT placement Department core functionaries include two faculty members nominated by each Department to support their activities. Selected students of the final & pre-final year batches will facilitate the activities of the Department. 2019-2020 graduating batch students of SJCET were hired by a good mix of companies from varied sectors, mainly belonging to IT, ITeS, Banking and Manufacturing. The top recruiters include Infosys, Wipro, MRF, Plant Lipids, TCS, Sutherland Global, Wabco, Tech Mahindra, UST, HCL Technologies, IBS, KPMG, Mphasis, Federal Bank, South Indian Bank, Unisis, Focus Academy and SMART Training Resources

    • Training and moulding engineers to global excellence; and making them fit for careers worldwide.
    • Minimum eligibility for a mere placement is set as 60 % consistency from class X onwards and no live backlogs. Each student has to submit and update his/her detailed profile & Statement of marks.
    • Students register with the CGPU as per the placement policy and norms stipulated
    • Placement cell sends the invitation, containing the relevant information and the job notification form to the companies/organizations through email/post

Placement Guidelines

VVIT has the dedicated objective of placing all eligible and interested students graduating every year, through campus placements.

  • Minimum eligibility for a mere placement is set as 60 % consistency from class X onwards and no live backlogs. Each student has to submit and update his/her detailed profile & Statement of marks.
  • Each student has to submit their Dream Job & Core Job company list before attending his/her first attempt on recruitment. After getting a placement, students can take up two more chances based on their statuses of Dream Job & Core Job
  • It is mandatory for all eligible students to attend campus selection drives as per the placement notices, till they get placed
  • Students who are not interested in placement have to give it in writing, explaining their other areas of interest and counter signed by parents

    Placement Procedure

    Phase - I
  • List of potential employers are prepared in consultation with industrial directories and other sources
  • Students register with the CGPU as per the placement policy and norms stipulated.
  • Placement cell sends the invitation, containing the relevant information and the job notification form to the companies/organizations through email/post
  • Companies/organization reverts with the profile description to the CGPU of the institute
  • The job description is made available to the students in addition to the other information and material provided by the company/organization.
  • Suitable dates for Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) are decided after discussions between the company and the CGPU
  • After confirmation from the company, students are notified for the PPT date.
  • The company visits the campus for the scheduled PPT.
  • Phase - II
  • The CGPU prepares a schedule for the placement process as per the ranking on the basis of following parameters: Job profile and growth prospects, the package being offered by the company, feedback from the students/alumni regarding the company.
  • The schedule is then confirmed with the visiting firm and the same is announced through the student committee for further coordination.
  • Interested students sign their willingness by registering for the company.
  • Phase - III
  • Companies visit the campus on the given date and conduct the technical/aptitude test, group discussion/personal interview as part of their selection procedure
  • Video conferencing facility at the campus can be availed for the purpose of interviewing candidates in case the company is unable to visit the campus.
  • The company is required to furnish the final list of selected students as soon as possible after the final completion of procedure. They shall send the offer letters to the CGPU office which would be handed over to the students
  • Jobs are registered against the selected students after approval from the respective students and the corresponding student is not allowed to take further part in the placement process unless it is dream job option
