The Department of Computer Application was established with a vision to nurture young minds into competent software professionals, developers, and IT experts. Since its inception, the department has been dedicated to delivering high-quality education in computer applications, programming languages, database management, and software engineering. Equipped with state-of-the-art computer laboratories and led by dedicated, experienced faculty members, we emphasize hands-on technical training, projects, and industrial exposures. We strive to groom our students with professional ethics, leadership qualities, and critical thinking skills to excel in the rapidly changing global IT industry. As part of the development programme, students and faculty are encouraged to attend seminars and workshops on the latest technological advancements.

Computing is no longer a subject that lives in one lab. It runs through health care, banking, farming, media, even the way a small shop keeps its accounts. At the Department of Computer Applications, we want our students to understand that reach, and to be ready for it.
The BCA (Honours) programme gives you a firm grounding in programming, databases, networks and software development. But the real learning happens when you build something: a project that solves a problem close to home, a program that finally runs after the tenth attempt, an idea you defend in front of your classmates.
So we encourage every student to stay active beyond the timetable, through our ACM, CSI, IEEE Computer Society and CySi chapters, the Computer Association, and the seminars and workshops the department holds through the year.
We will expect effort, honesty and curiosity from you. In return, you will have teachers who take a genuine interest in your progress, who will push you when you need it and stand by you when it gets hard.
